The controversial iphone 7 was finally launched few days ago with some new and mind-blowing specifications and another innovation that got people talking about it. I'm talking about the removal of 3.5mm headphones jack. i won't go deeply into the specifications as they are already all over the internet, so am only going to point out some differences of the iPhone 7 to iPhone 6 and the newly added features. But before that, let's check the key features of iPhone 7.

Now, What's New? What are the Pros

Removal of headphones jack

Sometime around January this year, Apple's iPhone confirmed a report about them dropping the 3.5mm headphones jack in their next release. Just like they said, the 3.5mm headphones jack is absent in iPhone 7 which has become a topic for discussion for all tech forums around the world. You now have a choice of using the Lightning-connected Apple EarPods supplied in the box or using the brand-new and sold separately wireless Apple EarPods that cost £159 and will be available from late October.

Durability and Waterproof design

iPhone 7 was designed to be dust resistance and water resistant. It can withstand up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. Quite interesting.

Bigger Battery

iphone 7 specs in term of battery capacity beat down iPhone 6 with 2 hours. The Talk time is Up to 14h (3G) and the Music play is Up to 40h

IOS version

Another amazing feature of iPhone 7 is the OS platform which is IOS 10 and the chipset is Apple A10 Fusion. It means it will be faster and responsive than iPhone 6.

iPhone 7 camera- Dual Lens

The rear/primary camera is dual with 12 MP, f/1.8, phase detection autofocus, OIS, quad-LED (dual tone) flash while the front/secondary is 7 MP, f/2.2, 1080p@30fps, 720p@240fps, face detection, HDR, panorama. Isn't it mind-blowing and jaw-dropping.

Cons:

  • Removal of audio jack won't favour everybody
  • Non-removable Li-Ion battery
  • No SD Card slot
  • No 3.5mm jack

iPhone 7 might have only two models, regular and Pro

We are still not certain whether three iPhone 7 models ( regular iPhone 7, a bigger Plus and the iPhone Pro with dual-cameras ) is what Apple is planning to release. Well, we may only be getting two models, regardless of whether the big one is called Plus or Pro.

The two models are allegedly codenamed Sonora and Dos Palos, two towns in California that are nowhere near each other (or Cupertino). If you believe in conspiracy theories, "Dos Palos" is Spanish for "two sticks." What does that say about iPhone Pros dual cameras?

iOS 10 beta finally lets you remove all those built-in app

Apple apps

Good news to all iPhone and Ipad users. Now you can safely remove those pesky Apps. Am talking about those folders on your iPhone or Ipad filled with all the built-in apps from Apple that you never use but can't delete. With the newly unveiled IOS 10, you will be able to remove all these unwanted Apps and reclaim the space they've occupied on your iPhone or Ipad device.

There’s no special process. Just long-tap and wait for the icons to dance, then hit the X on any of the following apps:

It’s not like deleting critical system files or anything; you just won’t be able to, say, sync with an Apple Watch if you don’t have the Watch app. And anything that relies on News, Stocks, or Weather to provide headlines or local conditions won’t work properly. Actually, you can’t remove News just yet — it appears on the list but won’t be removable until a later version of iOS 10.

All told, you’ll get back something under 150 megabytes if you were to delete all of them. Reinstalling is as easy as opening up the App Store, searching for whichever one you want and hitting the re-download button.

Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus diagrams reveal a Smart Connector on board

New diagrams allegedly reveal the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus measurements and ports and fuel fresh excitement for the upcoming devices. The schematics reveal the new crop of Apple flagships will be 1mm thicker than the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Potentially, this could translate into a larger battery, but there's no confirmation of this just yet.

As per the diagrams, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be just as wide and tall as their predecessors. Interestingly, the iPhone 7 Plus will have a dual camera setup whereas the iPhone 7 will only have a single sensor at the back.

Finally, the diagram show a Smart Connector port at the rear of the iPhone 7 Plus. It's very likely that Apple likes iPad Pro users who've bought the Smart Keyboard to be able to use it on the iPhone 7 Plus as well.

We have a general idea of what the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will look like thanks to a render based on confirmed schematics. In the latest diagrams, the 3.5mm headphone jack is missing.
