Samsung S8 Orchid Grey Color is Amazingly Beautiful. See Pictures

Samsung adopts a fresh new color for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ chassis. This is very surprising and wonderful. The color is called Orchid Grey.  This Samsung color is a lilac-hued pastel not like the shiny golds and reflective silver-covered phone bodies we've seen proliferating throughout the industry. This is no girly rose-gold either.Samsung S8 Orchid Grey is indubitably gender neutral, which is exactly the way smartphone design should be. That is,  the Samsung S8 Orchid Grey color isn't specifically being targeted at women.

The Galaxy S8 and S8+ are merely following a trend, however. The HTC U Ultra, released a few months ago, is a stunning smartphone in its own right. Its hardware is not particularly spectacular when compared to the competition, but the blue variant is almost worth owning just to display on a mantel. The reimagined LG G6 is also fab in its own rugged and metrosexual manner, and we've been watching Chinese smartphone brands attempt to set a stylish precedent overseas for quite some time.

Samsung S8 Orchid Grey

Why I prefer the Samsung Galaxy S8 in Orchid Gray color

For the past several years, almost all smartphone colors have been black, white, and gray. If you were lucky, you get a gold smartphone because you held out for one. Or you're me, and you skimped out on storage space because you wanted to be one of the first people with a really blue Pixel XL.

Samsung S8 Orchid Grey is not a special edition color. It's actually part of the main lineup, though I imagine it will be sold in limited quantities compared to the other color offerings — the same way the pink color LG G5 was hard to find or the aforementioned blue Pixel XL. This Samsung S8 Orchid Grey is particularly outstanding because it is different from the status quo, much like the blue Pixel stands out when everyone else is holding an iPhone.

Smartphone design is still prone to stereotypes, too, so it's nice to see that the Orchid Gray isn't being marketed as meant for women, though its hue is malleable enough that it could be if you wanted it to. For instance, guys with a stylish side who typically wear lighter colors could choose this variant of the Galaxy S8 so it matches their trendy threads, while gals with a wild neon side could choose it to keep the color flowing (though I personally think the Arctic Silver variant would be more fitting).

Don't Ignore

There are a couple of other special edition colors coming to market, including Coral Blue, which was first introduced on the Note 7, and Maple Gold. These extra colors feel like collector's items, and it makes me want to scope them out just so that I could be one of the few people with one in my hand. And that's the point, isn't it?

There's no doubt that the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are a boon to smartphone design. Look at the symmetrical curvature of the chassis; the way the screen flows into the itty bit of bezel that exists. It's certainly a work of art, one that's ergonomic and comfortable to hold, despite the fact that the fingerprint sensor might be a little too high for some fingers. What's next? Is it the eventual elimination of the bezel in its entirety?

The latter half of the year will hopefully help answer that as sales reports start trickling in. I'll be curious to see if Samsung's design prowess can keep it floating at the top of the smartphone charts and whether the stylish precedent set by the Galaxy Note 7 was enough to keep people interested.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Smartphone will be unveiled by August. See what to expect

After the successful launch of Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone, Samsung has been preparing for the launch of the Galaxy Note 8 ever since. We have heard a lot of about the possible launch date of Galaxy S8, however, the report which we have, claims that the Note 8 which will come in phablet size will be unveiled next month which is August. In fact, to be specific, the launching date has been reported to be August 23. Now, this is quite an early date than it was previously expected and there is a reason for the same as well.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Smartphone will be unveiled by August. See what to expect
Galaxy Note 8

According to the source, the Galaxy S8 sales figures have gone soft over the past couple of months. It is expected that this could be possibly due to the saturation of the market. There are tons and tons of premium smartphones launching every single day, and in fact, most of them have managed to do a great job in giving a tough competition to the Galaxy S8. In fact, there are certain reports which claim that the sales of Galaxy S7 were comparatively higher than the Galaxy S8 at this point last year.

Don't Ignore

Also, do make a note that Apple is also expected to launch the new iPhones this year and that is also expected to happen or around the month of September. The source claims that Samsung is planning on an early launch for the Galaxy Note 8 mainly to get the upper hand on the new iPhones. And the fact that the new iPhone 8 or the iPhone special edition is also set to launch this year as a bonus device, Samsung could definitely use from the edge over the Cupertino rival.

As far as the specs of the Galaxy Note 8 is concerned, it is expected that it will also sport an infinity display just like the Galaxy S8 smartphones. And since this is a Note phablet, it will also have an S Pen which is expected to have some added new features. As far as the other features are concerned, all of them are expected to be pretty much the same as the Iris scanner on the front, and the home button is also expected to under the display. Having said that, we would like to know your thoughts on this. Would you be interested in buying the Galaxy Note 8 smartphone? Be sure to let us know your thoughts on this by leaving a comment down below.

Analysts: Samsung Galaxy S8 is selling slower than Samsung S7. See the Reasons

Samsung's Galaxy S8 came with the most radical design overhaul in the history of the Galaxy S series, a top-shelf camera, and numerous other enticing features, but this specs from Samsung S8 may have not been enough for users to switch their current smartphones for it. A new report cites Korean analysts from The Bell, who claim that the Samsung S8 sale is actually slower than the Galaxy S7 launched before it.

Analyst: Samsung Galaxy S8 is selling slower than Samsung S7. See the Reasons.
Samsung S8 vs S7

The figures they've come up with Samsung S8 sale, however, are a bit conflicting. In the first three weeks after launch, Samsung reported that it has shipped 10 million of the new handsets, while the Bell's numbers are 9.8 million for the S8 in the first two months after the release, and then they are compared to the 12 million that the S7 has moved for the same period. Thus, the analysts' claim, the S8 sells 20% less than the S7, but it doesn't seem like an apples-to-apples comparison. The discrepancy might be stemming from the fact that Samsung's ten million figure was for both the S8 and S8+, and it counted the units shipped to carriers and retailers, not just the ones sold to end users.

Don't Ignore:

When The Bell's analysts isolated the S8 and the S7 sales for the first two months, they came up with the weakening sales numbers for the S8 in a leap of faith: "Since the 10 million shipment, Samsung is not revealing sales figures possibly due to slowing sales. We assume the S8 is selling less than the S7." While assuming isn't a very scientific method, a further tangential evidence comes in the form of decreased parts sales for the S8 from certain suppliers, adds the report.

The analysts attribute their own conclusion regarding the slowdown in Galaxy S8 shipments to market saturation in the high-end phone segment, as well as the heavy competition from the Chinese brands. A Samsung official declined to comment on exact numbers, save for the ballpark "we estimate S8’s sales volume to be similar to that of S7 for now," reminding again that the S7 went on sale globally almost immediately, while the S8 was only available in three major markets in the beginning.

Reasons Why Samsung S8 is Selling Slower Compared to Galaxy S7

  • The Samsung Note 7 incident dented Samsung reputation much worse than they predicted. This will indeed slow down the sales of the newly launched Samsung S8 because people are being careful these days.
  • Samsung Galaxy S8 is not an appealing smartphone for Samsung Galaxy S7 users. There is hardly any reason for them to upgrade to the new Galaxy S8. The Galaxy S8 specs is not that enough to drop Galaxy S7 except for few things like I personally prefer the samsung s8 orchid grey color
  • Tons of smartphones with enticing and great specifications like the samsung s8 are being launched on a daily basis by several Smartphone brands.

Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro Smartphone With 3GB RAM & 3,000 mAh Launched

Samsung has just launched the Galaxy J5 2017 smartphone which serves as an upgrade to the existing line up of devices that the company has. However, now the company has released the new Galaxy J5 Pro smartphone which is an upgraded version of the Galaxy J5 2017. In fact, the only improvement we can clearly see with the Galaxy J5 Pro is an increment in RAM and internal storage size in comparison to what we got with the Galaxy J5 2017. Though we can't say for now about the Smartphone price.

Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro Smartphone With 3GB RAM & 3,000 mAh Launched

Well, this is not the first time Samsung will just upgrade few specs and called it a new smartphone and is certainly not going to be the last. Now, speaking of the specs and the smartphone price, the Galaxy J5 Pro has a 5.2-inch AMOLED display on the front which has a resolution of 720 x 1280. Internally, it is also powered by an Exynos 7870 SoC which has an octa-core processor that is clocked at 1.6GHz. This is coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. As said earlier, this is the only upgrade which we see here. Hence, if you are okay with the initial 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, then you are better off with the Galaxy J5 2017 itself.

Another thing is that the internal storage is expandable as well, upto 256GB, on both the Galaxy J5 2017 as well as the new Galaxy J5 Pro, hence it should not be a problem whatsoever. In terms of the camera, we are looking at a 13MP rear as well as a front-facing shooter on the J5 Pro. On the front, there is also a fingerprint scanner which is embedded on the home button and the smartphone is running on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The entire package is kept powered by a 3,000 mAh battery which should be good enough to keep it powered for an entire day’s worth of usage easily.

As mentioned earlier, if you are not a heavy user and are okay with just 2GB RAM & 16GB storage, then you should consider buying the Galaxy J5 2017. It is not a huge upgrade whatsoever. Now talking about the availability and the smartphone price, the new J5 Pro will be available in Thailand and interested customers can buy it for 9,990 Thai Baht which roughly translates to about 19,000 INR. As of now, there is no official statement on the availability of the smartphone anywhere outside Thailand and we suggest you stay tuned to Prosandconsblog for more info on this device

The new Galaxy C7 2017 smartphone that carries the model number SM-C7100 has been seen at the Wi-Fi Alliance. The smartphone just received its own Wi-Fi certification and this is coming only after a couple of weeks after the device got its Bluetooth certification. The Wi-Fi listing, just like the Bluetooth certification, does not really reveal much about the smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy C7 (2017) Smartphone Gets Wi-Fi Certification

The only few thing which we know so far about Galaxy C7 is the fact that it will be running Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. However, it is expected that the Galaxy C7 2017 will also be a mid-range smartphone since the last year’s variant was a highly popular mid-ranged smartphone. Talking of the last year’s C7 smartphone, it was powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC which was coupled with a whopping 4GB of RAM. It was also offered in two variants to choose from i.e. a 32GB variant and a 64GB variant.

The Galaxy C7 also comes with a 5.7-inch SuperAMOLED display which was comparatively better than other smartphones in this price range. Concerning the camera, the Galaxy C7 had a 16-megapixel rear-facing shooter, and on the front, it had an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie snapper. Looking at all this Galaxy C7 Specs 2017,  The device is also expected to be slightly better, if not significantly better.

Must See! Samsung Galaxy C10 with dual-camera and rose gold leaks again

A Samsung smartphone touted as the Galaxy C10 with a dual-camera setup was rumoured earlier this month. The handset seems to have leaked again, but this time in a different shade.

Must See! Samsung Galaxy C10 with dual-camera and rose gold leaks again
C10

A rose gold variant of the Galaxy C10 has been spotted on Weibo confirming the fact that it will go on to become the first Samsung smartphone to feature a dual-camera setup. But, if you look carefully, the new leak has the dual-LED placed between the two lenses. The leak that we saw earlier had the flash unit positioned on the right side. Even the camera housing is a bit different. The new leak is, however, similar to one of the alleged sketches which also has the flash between the lenses.

Information about the device is still scanty, but rumors say that the Galaxy C10 could feature a Snapdragon 660 SoC which was recently announced by Qualcomm. Considering the Galaxy C9 Pro offered 6 GB of RAM, we could see the same amount on the C10 or even more.

It seems that Samsung wants to try out the dual-camera setup on a more mid-ranged device before committing to a flagship smartphone. Hopefully, we will see a similar camera setup on the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 which should arrive by the beginning of Q4 this year.
